The revered and despised grief-easer of the mountains, the warrior against pain, the healing herb. Whether taken as smoke, liquid, food, or as "Bob's" pills, it, above all other medicinal substances, "spells relief." From the hearty young stalks protruding from the Himalayan snow to the white 'frop-dust that settles on the rim of "Bob's" Pipe, it is the clostest thing to the untainted essence of ODIN on Earth.
Habafropzipulops is not merely safe, but beneficial - nay, even necessary - to bodily health. We encourage our children to partake of it copiously, to their little heart's abundant desires.
I used to watch Bob on vhs all the time, I could rent his videos from a local hippie shop down the street fomr my house. When I frst found linux around 99, needless to say I was very confused, but in my quest for what is linux I found Bob guiding me through a slackware logo. So if I were forced to use what little bit of creative talent I have to come up with a catch phrase it would be.
Slackware - cuz the hippies made me do it.
I realized after I posted it that there are actually three potential slogans in my signature, only one of which I intended to be a slogan.
The Slackware CD set that I have here at the office says
"Slackware: The most trusted Linux distribution since 1993."
That's as close to official as it gets.
On the back under "Basic system requirements" it says
"Slackware Linux is an advanced operating system for x86 compatible..." I remember first seeing "advanced operating system" on the FreeBSD website. Does Slackware pre-date FreeBSD?
