Slack boot issue, no boot possible

When I boot Slackware 11.0 (same thing happened with 10.0 though), I get this message:

Quote:

b44: eth0: Error, poll already scheduled
The message just repeats and repeats and repeats. That is during the boot process before you can login. Now, installation went fine .. but I have no idea what this means. Obviousely it has something to do with my lan card, but I don't know what.

What kernel?
uname -a
You can try and add this to the kernel line;
acpi=noirq
b44 is the driver for your lan card.
It is a known problem in older kernels.
Looks like it is fixed in the new kernels.

I cannot use the uname command because as I've stated I cannot even get to the part where I can login.

However, I am using the default kernel with the slack 11.0 install, which is 2.4.something.

I guess I will try installing using a 2.6 kernel
