I have installed both apache and php while installing slackware. Apache does not seem to be configured with php support. Do I have to reconfig apache or can I just make changes to the httpd.conf? If so, what do I need to add. I was hopeing that when I installed it from the cd it would go ahead and configure apache with php support but I guess not. Thanks in advance.
There's a line at the bottom of /etc/apache/httpd.conf that you need to uncomment to enable PHP support. You may also want to add index.php as a directory index, about 2/3 the way down the file.
The php.ini file is in the same folder.
After uncommenting the line run this command as root
Worked like a charm. Sometimes too long in front of the keyboard does strange things to the brain. I did a search and never saw that tutorial... Thanks
