slack 9 (Video mode not supported)

i am currently installing slack 9. I would really appreciate if someone can help me with a little issue i am going to be having once the install is complete.

I tried installing slack 9 before but i had a issue with video not supported message this would mean that the resolution that is set by default is wrong. Correct? How do i go about correcting this problems and will i only need one boot disk for this correction.

When exactly did you receive this message? Upon trying to 'startx' or upon booting with lilo, or what?

Do you see the red LILO bootscreen showing boot choises ? If so, try passing 'vga=normal' and press enter to boot the selected kernel. If that works, you should comment or adjust the 'vga = something/somenumber' in your /etc/lilo.conf file. Save the file and run the command 'lilo' as root.
If you filled in the correct vga mode or commented it, it should boot in a viewable videomode.
