Angry Slack 9 VFAT premissions problem

For some reason on slack 9 when I tell it to mount the Drive with the Windows stuff on it it ends up with the permissions set wrong I want read write search for everone not just root and it will not let me chmod 4777 windows. It say operation prohibited or someting to that effect. Under Slack 8.0 it was correct any one know how to fix this its about to drive me crazy.
