slack 9 kernels 2.6 & 2.4

hi
On slack 9 I installed module-init-tools and kernel 2.6.5
How can I use kernels 2.4.x
When I boot kernel from this type it can't load my modules.
thanks

The latest versions of module-init-tools are bakwards compatable. What version are you running:
/sbin/modprobe --version
module-init-tools version 0.9.14

If you followed the compile instructions of the slackware site, you need to do:
make modules_install
at the end of the procedure (...before to run lilo).
