im kinda curious because i remember their being some on one of the swaret repos recently, but i can't find anything, and i keeps failing when i try to compile from source. ive tired 0.6.4, 0.6.3, and 0.5.4. 0.5.4 compiles and installs, but fails on run, and the two 0.6's die during make.
i also tried an rpm, and used rpm2tgz, but it also fails on run.
im wondering if i broke something, might try a reinstall, since i just did this install last night (whcih is why i didn' have the old pkgs)
I compiled Rhythmbox 0.6.4 from the source in slackware 9.1. I Needed to install the latest gstreamer libraries and gst-plugins and a couple of ther dependencies I think. But I did it the hard way.
it can be such a pain, dependency hell and whatnot. but i couldn't even get teh stinking thing to compile, even after getting configure to give me the ok. i dunno what was up with it, ive done it with slack 9.1 more than once before.
btw, i got shuffle working, i opened gconf and then clicked the shuffle button a couple of times while looking at the key, and sudenly linear and shuffle appeared. quite strange. i mgiht try to mess with the tgz soon to fix the keys and stuff and get it to linuxpackages, but i might not have time
yes, i have done all of this with the different posts in like an hours time, sorry
im having some trouble with my little hack, sometimes the shuffle and repeat buttons don't work so well. could someone that has managed to make the file hop in that directory, issue "checkinstall -S" and upload the tgz for us????
you might have to download checkinstall, but its a standard package available on the slackware main ftp....
