slack 12 bios check question
The bios check seems to take a long time when slack first loads, when the dots trail across the screen. It's like watching doom load on a slow 486.
This is on a t22 whereas freebsd 6.2 seems not to do this and cuts the loading time by at least 50%.I realize this is an old laptop now and I'm not complaining I am just kinda curious about it and more so as to what process is going on there.
Other than the initial start-up this old beast runs slack/KDE really well and not slow at all.
