Slack 12.1 to current

OK, I have install 12.1 no problem. What is the procedure to install slackware current? Do I need a program? Do you do this form the command line? Very lost here and don't really know where to start. My main goal is to play with KDE 4.1 but it is only part of current tree under the testing directory.

So how to I get to the "current" version?
How do I install KDE afterward...???

Thanks

Claude

If you are just wanting it to test KDE4, you can get slackpacks for kde4 to allow it to coexist with kde3. I have been using it for the last couple of days on my laptop and it has worked flawlessly. They can be found here.

As far as upgrading to current, I haven't ever tried it, so I wouldn't know where to start for that, but plenty of people here do it, so someone will probably jump in here and give you that info.

-current is a lot of fun.
Back up everything you don't want to risk losing (just in case)
Start by reading: CURRENT.WARNING
Then: UPGRADE.TXT
And everything you find interesting in any -current mirror
gl && have fun

edit: There are some unofficial current isos around, google is your friend, here's one of them: ftp://ftp.slackware.no/pub/linux/ISO...ent-ISO-build/
You can also try making your own using Eric Hameleers, or Alien BOB's ==> infamous mirror-slackware-current.sh
