Slack 10.1

I'm rebuilding after several weeks of downtime. i loaded from 10.0.CDs and all was well. Before I start to customize I noticed the msg on linuxpackages that Slack-current would soon become 10.1. Last night I ftp'd down the tree and today I ran the commands from upgrade.txt to upgrade to current.

telinit 1

upgradepkg /root/slackware/a/glibc-solibs-*.tgz

upgradepkg /root/slackware/a/pkgtools-*.tgz

upgradepkg --install-new /root/slackware/a/sed-*.tgz

upgradepkg --install-new /root/slackware/*/*.tgz

run lilo

Question is - these instructions mentioned they we for upgrading from 9.1 - 10.0. Anything else need to be done to complete the upgrade?

I'm not aware of anything more. I think that's all I did - just followed the upgrade with the obvious adjustments. Nothing special and all seems fine.

Slackware 10.1 was released a few hours ago.
I'll be trying it when the cds reach me.

But what about the caution noted here in the Mon Jan 24 20:41:03 PST 2005 changelog:

Code:
a/aaa_elflibs-10.1.0-i486-1.tgz: Updated initial library collection.
Please remember that (as the package description notes) this package is
only intended to be installed at an initial installation, and attempting
to "upgrade" it later may copy over newer libraries and cause damage to
your system. Some broken upgrade tools haven't learned this fact...
