SkyStar 2 (rev. 2.3) - Slackware 12.2 - Kernel 2.6.27.7-smp
Good afternoon,
I had bought a SkyStar 2 over EBay and, today the package arrived. After installing the card on my computer I booted Slackware 12.2, my Kernel was build with dvb-support, all modules are loaded, but some hours ago I started searching for a tv-progam, without success. I followed some tutorials but always the same. I've read about linuxTV and tried this separate driver too, but it was canceled by the make-procedure. I noticed that there isn't a "skystar2" driver in my kernel- source. So here are some infos, maybe someone can help me. =) > dmesg | grep b2c2 Code:
b2c2-flexcop: B2C2 FlexcopII/II(b)/III digital TV receiver chip loaded successfully Code:
b2c2_flexcop_pci 9880 0 Code:
05:05.0 Network controller: Techsan Electronics Co Ltd B2C2 FlexCopII DVB chip / Technisat SkyStar2 DVB card (rev 01) don't find any tv-program. "Scan" from the dvb-utils only output a warning and after that a error, he can't tune. Can someone help me, please? =) Thanks in advance. Regards, Jack. Cheers |
Just a thought...
Jack,
Is the i2c_core module running? |
Hello songangel,
I have checked the tv-card, all drivers, firmware and so on, but finally I noticed the card is defective. There was nothing wrong with my system or config. I was buying a new one, but at this time a "TYPHOON Tv Sat DVB-S Card CI PCI". After buying, I´ve pluged in the card, and it was running out of the box on Slackware 12.2 (Kernel 2.6.27.7-smp) Thanks for the Reply songangel. ;) Regards, Jack. Cheers |
