Sis 730!!!
Hi guys,,, I got a Sis730 Card here and I want to set up it on my slackware 10, but when i run the xorgconfig and search for sis730 I don`t find it, none of the cards listed there matches the sis730, well, I wanna know if is there a driver to resolve that,,,????

thank you all!!!

I have a sis video card. My understanding is that they all use the "sis" driver. Just edit /etc/X11/xorg.conf manually.

Section "Device"
    Identifier  "** SiS (generic)                      [sis]"
    Driver      "sis"

If you want more info on sis video cards, is the site to check out.

Good luck,

Try using 630 driver some searches lead me to that.

I have an SiS 740 and I can use pretty much any of the specific SiS drivers that don't match or just the generic. There really needs to be 3D acceleration with SiS cards also.
