Single left click picked up sometimes as double click?
For some reason now when I left click slackware sees it sometimes (4 out of 5 times) as a double click. This is very frustrating? Here is a list of ps aux
Code:
USER PID %CPU %MEM VSZ RSS TTY STAT START TIME COMMAND |
I had this issue a few months back. It was the mouse left-clicker packing in. A new mouse solved the problem. Try using a different mouse and see if the problem goes away.

Where is the mouse configured in slackware for X? This is my xorg.conf file:
Code:
Section "ServerLayout" |
My xorg.conf is generated by nvidia. the appropriate section is :
Section "InputDevice" # generated from default Identifier "Mouse0" Driver "mouse" Option "Protocol" "auto" Option "Device" "/dev/psaux" Option "Emulate3Buttons" "no" Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5" EndSection |

Are you using KDE? KDE has an option to treat single clicks as double clicks in the file manager, or any other file managing context. To disable go to System Settings->Input Devices-> Mouse->General and make sure "Double click to open files and folders" is selected. I don't know if this is even applicable in your situation, but I am posting it just in case.
