SimpleScreenRecorder settings for best quality & for when quality doesn't matter

The title says it all. There are a lot of settings in that program's GUI, so I have three questions:

1. Let's say I want the best quality I can get, how do I set it up?

2. Let's say I then want to record something where the quality is important but not as important as size. In other words, how do I set it up to get the most bang for my buck? (best quality in the smallest file size)?

3. Last question: how do I set it up when I don't care about video quality too much but I want the best sounding audio?

Thank you

Those are good questions I would like seeing answered.

I have no related experience to directly answer your questions, but I asked a related question elsewhere. I was instructed not to record on large screens or high resolutions because on smaller screens and resolutions the fonts will be too small for many people to read.

My conclusion then is before publishing to test recordings on a 14 inch laptop or possibly a tablet.

I use SSR for best quality only, ready for upload to YouTube, and for this I use ffv1 for video and pcm_s16le for audio in a Matroska container. This is lossless and of course YouTube re-encodes from there. So that covers your first question I guess...
