Arrow Simple questions about LILO

I just cannot seem to find this documented anywhere.

The lilo menu has a “U” in the left hand column by my Linux entry. As seen here: https://imgur.com/M8G2tjM
What does this mean?

When I run # lilo there is a plus sign instead of an asterisk by the Linux entry.
Code:
Added Windows *
Added Linux +
What does this mean?

Thank you. I have been searching the internet and man pages and can’t seem to find the answer. They are probably nothing, but I’m curious about what they mean.

I'm not sure what they mean tbh. However, I have noticed that the entry with a '*' after it, indicates it will be booted by default; that is, if no user interaction takes place that entry will be what lilo boots.

Quote:
root@mars:/media/slackware# /sbin/lilo
Warning: LBA32 addressing assumed
Added Linux + *
Added Linux-5.4.36 +
One warning was issued.
Notice both of my entries have a '+' next to them. I'm not sure why your Windows entry lacks a '+'; or why Linux entries seem to have them.

I think the U indicates the use of an initrd.

The "*" mean default boot, the "+" means initial ram disk will be loaded.
