sh command and alsaconf

when I go to www.ati.com and select the driver page they want me to download a "check.sh" program and run it so that I can se wich X86 verison im using.
haha this may sound super noobie but I dont know howto run the program.

btw, when I run alsaconf I get my soundcard on the list and I select it.
Alsaconf installs the drivers and everyting works great except that I dont get any sound from my headphones- only a really low ringing sound...
the ringing sound is always low and I cant raise the volume or anything.
On slack 9.1 my soundcard worked perfect !?

Smile

Code:
sh check.sh
if you get some kind of permission error, try it as root. I haven't installed the ati drivers in months so my memory is rather foggy.

Did you run alsamixer to adjust the volume? Often a headset is set to the lowest volume by default. When you are done with alsamixer, run
Code:
alsactl store
as root to save your settings
