Severe Problems instaling/booting Slackware
Hey Everyone:
A few weeks ago, I installed Slackware just fine on my P2 333 mhz server. I installed LAMP just fine and everything was great. Life was great.
I wanted to reinstall Slackware (for many reasons), so i did that, and after a while, MySQL got someowhat configured incorrectly, so i said, i might try debian. So I did, an i couldn't even get it installed, so i gave up and installed Slackware from the same CD.
After re-making my partitions, my 256 mb swap file and the rest the ext2 filesystem, I proceeded to the oh so familiar isntallation. I did the "full" installation to avoid problems during installation, at the very end, it asks where to install LILO, and i told it to install in root partition, (the default option)
After Slackware tells me to reboot the computer to finish the installation, i take out the CD and reboot. Once the POST is finished, and my regular system output is finished, the computer doesn't even get to LILO, it immediately begins to echo "01" over and over again.. like this:
01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01
Over and over again, I tried installing several times, and all had the same results.
This is really beginning to frustrate me
Let me know if anyone has any ideas, thank you.
