Setting up LDAP authentication server on Slackware
 
Could someone kindly point me towards a document describing how to turn my Slackware-server into an LDAP server for login/authentication purposes?

So far I've installed the LDAP server OK, but am confused as to how to populate my /etc/passwd into the LDAP server with the correct variables and then retrieving them without using PAM.

I've found some good threads here and elsewhere on how to set this up from a client point of view, but found nothing covering step-to-step guide for setting this up on the LDAP server.

Anyone? Thanks much in advance!
