Talking serial terminal console

Hi,

I have a serial console AXEL AX3000 only with serial connection.
This I want to use as a remote console for my linux because blender (3d rendering program) sometimes works like Windoors
So I have to find a way to kill X or blender without keyboard, mouse (and reset button).
Now I have this terminal and don't know how to use it.

Thank you.

I would rather fix the crash...Maybe RAM issue, is it cheap memory chipset ? Does blender use a lot of cpu, did you try to renice it ? Also maybe there are application option to limit resource usage...It may be bios settings not optimized too...

thanks...

I never had problems with this RAM and it is always after rendering when I want to close the render window. For example when I work with big images in Gimp (Ram full) or I compile, X never crashes.

Now I have the console and it can be in other ways helpful, too.
