[SOLVED] sending a startup program to the background

HI there guys

I am working on the NEW Openerp Server 6.1
I get it to work all wonderful but how do I send the start-up to the background .

Currently starting it in rc.local

su {user} -c /usr/bin/openerp-server &

But still get feedback on the terminal window

I must be missing something stupid , I know ..

Try

su {user} -c /usr/bin/openerp-server > /dev/null 2>&1 &
