Hi, why don't you use a git repository to register update of your build scripts? This wouldn't be better?

Also, this might be a nitpicking, but naming executable script with .txt suffix seems odd.

Code:
sh ./downloads_needed.txt
Wouldn't it be better if it was
Code:
./downloads_needed.sh
?
