There's a screensaver called xslideshow I believe, or maybe just slideshow; but the way you get xscreensaver to find your images in a certain folder instead of grabbing the screen is you go into the Advanced Settings tab of xscreensaver -demo and just select whichever slot that points to images and type in the directory name or browse for it.

You can get to xscreensaver -demo through a console. There is also a link to that in your Applications menu, but I forget where it is.

There are several other screensavers that do pretty much the same thing such as Antspotlight, but I can't think of any more as my box is in pieces at the moment.

There is also a screensaver I remember that will do your images like a puzzle, and I know there's one that just displays each image normally, but I apparantly I can't remember the name. The way I found out about these was just going down the list of all the screensavers one afternoon with the arrow keys; so if you have some free time...

It's GLSlideshow

To tell it where to find the images to display, go to the "Advanced" tab on the Screensaver Preferences window. Select "Choose Random Images", and enter your image directory in the text field right below that.
