I'm new to Slackware. I've been using Ubuntu for a while now and have messed about with other distro's as well.
The problem I have first appeared when I tried to use the Slax live cd, but appears to affect all Slackware-based distro's as I have discovered now I've tried to install Slackware 10.2.
The installation went fine as far as I can tell - no issues. I've done the installation twice now. First time I installed the 2.4 kernel, second time the 2.6. I also tried once with framebuffer and once without.
Either way, when the system reboots after installation and configuration, I've logged in and typed startx and as soon as I've typed startx the monitor seems to go into standby like it's not receiving a signal.
I have no idea what to do at all. Do I need to add an argument at boot?
