sbopkg after a re-install of slackware 12.2
I have just done a fresh install of slackware 12.2, but i kept my /home directory which was saved onto and separate hard drive. I did a quick format of my system drive, and then installed. The first thing I did after booting was install sbopkg, and then went to install the nvidia drivers.
Much to my surprise, when i did a search and found the drivers and kernel modules, sbopkg said they were already built, and i didn't have to compile them to install. This seems really strange to me since they were always output to the /tmp folder, and this had just been formatted. Can anyone explain to me how this worked? |
