everything that is not from Eric's ktown is what I've rebuilt (since he already had recompiled it against the new -current state)

https://pastebin.com/1x7gVTY2

EDIT: seems like I missed to rebuilt some packages. They have anyway no connection with audacity or alsa. Is needed to rebuild them?

why are you using ffmpeg from SBo while it is already in Slackware (also a different version, the one for 14.2)?

if you want to use them you should rebuild the one in Slackware from the SlackBuild in Slackware.

BTW, the installation is a little mess, you have prebuilt packages installed from various sources that overlap with the versions on SBo that most probably link to *.la files.
try doing a clean install of current in a virtual machine and build audacity there.
I cannot help you if you try to build audacity in a system like this (read also the first post of this topic, please).

Ok, I have no idea how to do that (I mean, I usually download the Slackbuild script from the website and run it). Can you please give me some hint about it via MP? (I guess you are Italian, I'm Italian too, if you want to use that language).

I'll give a try on a clean machine

you can do the same using the SlackBuild from the Slackware sources

ftp://ftp.slackware.com/pub/slackwar...urce/l/ffmpeg/

if you read the SlackBuild you will see that it supports the same options as the one on SBo.

isn't there any way to locate the package compiled against the .la file in order to avoid recompile all the mess?

Audacity built successfully after recompiling every single package that was not shipped with Slackware (including Eric's ones). Also, if anyone has similar problems, can be a good idea to grep over the .pc files in /usr/lib{64}/pkgconfig searching for reference to .la files

it doesn't work with the latest icu4c in current (they haven't fixed it yet even in their last svn code): please get in touch with the developers on irc (#sword on freenode) or through their bugtracker (http://tracker.crosswire.org/project...=allopenissues), posting a link to the build log.

Got into IRC and got a workaround (?).
Passing '--without-icu' to the configure scripts enables sword to build correctly. I built Bibletime afterwards and I had no discernible loss in functionality. I even was able to display WLC and UBSGNT with Linux Libertine as a font without issues.
