i was able to build webkit2gtk in my desktop running -current with -j 24
I don't know what to say. I tried at least 10 times like I said. Kept getting the same error. On 2 different PCs. No idea what I'm doing wrong, but it just wouldn't get past that error for me.
One person did basically the same thing that I did, and another person said it was fine on one machine (Xeon X5650) and failed on another one (Core i7).
Hi Skaendo, I just tried to build gst-plugins-ugly and webkit2gtk and everything went fine like for willysr...
I sincerely don't know what's happening on your installation, I can only suggest you to rebuild also everything depending on webkit2gtk and its dependencies, and dependencies of dependencies (like whatever optional dependency of gst-plugins-bad you are using), and so on for everything not already included in current...
regarding the down of pkgs.fedoraproject.org I think it's temporary as they have a lot of services on that host...
did I just screw up current with multilib shell script?
I wget (maybe) your script to download and install multilib for 32 bit wine off your git read something about that script in the notes .. then ran that first, and got more than just this,

a lot of same.. I prob missed a step or two maybe three Thinking all I needed to do was run that script.
opened another terminal user mode type
Code:

so Now I am wondering if I am just sitting here with my OS in Memory and nothing on the hdd. is that even possible?
rebooting to see whats left of current...
HAHAHAHA
Kernel panic : No working init found... so cool!
I'm in stable 14.2 so yeah,, good thing I still got a boot install burned to USB Stick. lmao...
I just got done installing it on here this morning. lmao... one more time... woo hoo!
Id' rather bet for an arch mismatch (32-bit binary looking for a 64-bit one or reverse).
Not requested but provided for free advice: stay monolib and run wine in a VM.
well I was helping someone that just got a Linux laptop off ebay or somewhere, and now finding out he was trying to install iTunes on it, and well we know that does not work, then someone posted about wine and iTunes, being able to be used, but it needs to be 32 bit, so I went mulitlib when I was reading the read me on the wine read me and that other post pretty much says what I did and what happened.
I'm in the process of updating a fresh install of Slack, changing it over to current.
So you're saying install VM ot VBox, install another Linux distro in that then install wine within that then run wine in a VBox enviro?
last time I tried to use iTunes in anything wine and Windows in VBox it was a no go, that is why when I seen that post saying it is now possible. well it got me where I am at now with Slack current.

Yes that's what I'd do if I needed wine, e.g. install VirtualBox (easy with their binary installer), set up a VM, install Slackware stable (32-bit) in it then wine in Slackware 32-bit.
PS Caveat emptor: probably not a good idea though if you want to run in Wine a resources hungry application.

the only thing I'd be using if I could get it to run is iTunes, though having a 32bit Slack on my 64bit laptop might be bit of a novelty just in itself. That is the only thing left that i've kept hold of needing windows.
For iTunes I think that there should be no issue. And still in my opinion, running a VM is much easier that maintaining a multilib system.
yeah as soon as this updates complete, I already downloaded 14.2 32bt and got some partitions already created for Linux OS, so I am just going to install it on a partition and see what happens. that would be faster then install VBox,set it up, then install 32 bit linux, set it up, then install wine, then set it up then install iTunes and hoping it works ...
genius (in SBO > Academic) when passed the GNOME=yes option cannot be built. It complains of a missing vte even when Slackware has vte-0.50.2 installed. The cli part of it builds OK, though.

it's because it looks for the old vte API: for stuff needing that I added to the repository for current vte2.
I'll edit genius' README with this information, thanks for reporting!
