SBo optional dependencies

Hello!

If it's said on slackbuild info that there is optional dependency but it is not written in the slackbuild. Does it track that dependency automatically ?
For example in vobcopy slackbuild info it's said that libdvdcss is optional. And I want to build that. So I just build libdvdcss first and then vobcopy? or do I have to address that somehow to vobcopy that I have build libdvdcss before ?

I know that in some slackbuilds you can address dependency=YES/NO to a build but that is written in the slackbuild.

No, we don't track dependencies automatically. It's up to maintainer or users to do so.

in vobcopy, you need to install libdvdcss and then build vobcopy and it will pick it up and add encrypted dvd support.

optional dependencies are noted in the README.
as a general rule, if some specific switches are not specified in the READMEs, optional dependencies are autodetected at build time (by the app build system or by a routine in the SlackBuild).
in any case they should be present in the system at build time if they are not run-time dependencies (but this is also noted in the READMEs).
