I am not going to install Slackware again as it stands at this moment. I already re-installed it 4 times over this. just saying every time it works right after the install as soon as I add something else it no longer works. why I do not know. it makes no logical sense whatsoever to me.

sbotools is a precompiled tgz I got saved I do not remember how I got that one, off the sight or slackbuilds I have no /etc/sbotools dir after installing it, as per https://pink-mist.github.io/sbotools...ls.conf.5.html
I'm asking if you've updated Slackware Current after install and did you build the packages off it?

I just use sbopkg so I don't know anything about that.

Oh I am mirroring slack current64 so I got the very latest current on a USB to install so no post update install-new upgrade-all after installing Slack because it already has all of that beforehand. I still pull the gpg off my local mirror though. I hope that answers your question.

using this to mirror
mirror-slackware-current.sh it is a Alien Bob script http://www.slackware.com/~alien/tools/

to reiterate

I wasn't trying to be sarcastic in my reply. Just ensuring you were actually putting things in the correct directory. A spelling mistake in a post could be a spelling mistake on the command line. Better to verify rather than assume

And you didn't respond to the first half of my post. Is this with your /home that's shared with Void? If so, can you reproduce this issue with a fresh user?

no offense taken by any means whatsoever. I understand completely. I was the one that was getting loopy over this. The thing is I went through all of this long ago with plugins both flash and pepper-flash and whatnot and nothing worked. So I just gave up installed Linux version of chrome. Finally got tired of having to open that one just for youtube so I posted this in here and it looks like now the flash plugin seems to be working as long as I click that arrow that shows up in the video to have it load flash to make the movie work. that is where it stands right now. so I marked it solved .. thanks for your input --
