SBC DSL on Linux

I want to know if Slackware comes with a PPoE program or do I need one? How do I setup a DSL connection on Linux?

Try this site:

Hope this helps.

I know this site doesn't mention Slackware, but the information should work for Slackware.

Slack 9 comes with RP-PPoE. Basically you just run adsl-setup as root, answer a few questions (username, password, DNS servers... same old same old), and you're set!

And to save you further head/heartaches:
Before running adsl-start, do ifconfig eth0 down; ifconfig eth0 up (or whatever your ethernet connection is).
