Salix upgrade

Since there doesn't seem to be a sub-forum for Salix, I will post my question here.
I have just re-installed Salix 14.1 and in order to sync my firefox browser, I have to upgrade.
I would like to upgrade everything while I am at it.
I am not having much success with
Code:
sudo slackpkg upgrade upgrade
Is there something else I am missing?

Hi,

There is a salix forum.

Maybe you should use first:
Code:
sudo slackpkg update
to update the packages list, then
Code:
sudo slackpkg upgrade-all
to upgrade all salix-14.1 packages.

I don't use salix so maybe there a better way to upgrade packages.

Thank you, I will try this.
Edit; I get this argument.
Code:
sudo: slackpkg: command not found

Oh brother, I missed the a placement (ie Salix not Slax) and just spent a minute trying to figure out why you weren't just replacing the OS and modules... then realized 14.1 that's not right. Carry on!

You can login as root using "su -" then
Code:
slackpkg update && slackpkg upgrade-all
Or use sudo with full path of slackpkg
Code:
sudo /usr/sbin/slackpkg update && sudo /usr/sbin/slackpkg upgrade-all
