[SOLVED] Running Openswan for IPSEC VPN

so i've build an openswan package using src2pkg.
it compiled fine. Just had to add some custom lines to the src2pkg.auto file to have it build correctly.
Code:
make program
make install
Also commented out configure/compile source.

when i go to start ipsec, ./etc/rc.d/init.d/ipsec --start
i get the following error.
Code:
root@windu:~# /etc/rc.d/init.d/ipsec --start
ipsec_setup: Starting Openswan IPsec 2.6.11...
ipsec_setup: insmod /lib/modules/2.6.24.5-smp/kernel/net/ipv4/ipcomp.ko
ipsec_setup: Trying hardware random, this may fail, which is okay.
ipsec_setup: Trying VIA padlock driver, this may fail, which is okay.
ipsec_setup: insmod /lib/modules/2.6.24.5-smp/kernel/drivers/crypto/padlock-sha.ko
ipsec_setup: FATAL: Error inserting padlock_sha (/lib/modules/2.6.24.5-smp/kernel/drivers/crypto/padlock-sha.ko): No such device
ipsec_setup: insmod /lib/modules/2.6.24.5-smp/kernel/drivers/crypto/padlock-aes.ko
ipsec_setup: WARNING: Error inserting padlock_aes (/lib/modules/2.6.24.5-smp/kernel/drivers/crypto/padlock-aes.ko): No such device
ipsec_setup: kernel appears to lack IPsec support (neither CONFIG_KLIPS or CONFIG_NET_KEY are set)
I am running 12.1 using the huge kernel. I've check and padlock-sha and padlock-aes do exist but will not load... i also check if CONFIG_NET_KEY was loaded and it was, but as a module. So to combat that i've built that into the kernel and im just waiting for that to finish to try again.

I'm curious about the other modules though, padlock-sha/aes. Maybe because net_key wasn't loaded?

So i ended up trying the latest 2.4 version instead of the 2.5 (and i know it shows 2.6 which i don't understand... maybe an issue with 2.5.x) and it worked flawlessly.

built it the same way as i did the 2.5 version using src2pkg.
I also found out in this mess that CONFIG_NET_KEY is loaded by doing a modprobe af_key (even though it's labeled pf_key)

So yet again, thanks for everyones help! :P hhahah
