Running Abiword on Slackware 14.1

Hello,

I hope this is an appropriate question for the forum. I am having trouble getting Abiword to run on Slackware 14.1. I have tried a slackware build script, and when that didn't work out, I tried compiling both Abiword 2.8.6 and 3.0.0 from scratch. "./configure" yielded a long list of dependencies. I've never had this much trouble getting Abiword to run on Slackware. Anyone had any luck?

Thank you

Have you tried the slackbuild? http://slackbuilds.org/repository/14.1/office/abiword/

Don't forget to install the dependencies as well. It looks like there's one dependency for this.

I have successfully built the Slackbuilds for Abiword 3.0.0. I'm using 14.1 32 bit. Everything seems to work. Had no difficulties at all.

Thanks very much

I tried the script from Slackbuilds.org that you suggested, and it worked just fine. I have Abiword up and running.

Thanks for your help!
