root@ issue


hello, I have been trying to change the root@blahblah, to something like root@wahwah, for example. I tried using netconfig, but I have not managed to change it. Do I need to use another method for changing this?

what do you mean by root@blahblah????

In the shell window, I dont use a gui.

yeah, thats it. I used netconfig, but it didnt change.

edit /etc/HOSTNAME

ok, the netconfig did work, I just needed to reboot. Thanks for the help.
