Robby Workman's Xfce 4.12 for Slackware 14.1: missing patches
Hi,
I'm currently fiddling with Xfce 4.12 on Slackware 14.1. I'm using Xfce 4.10 SlackBuilds as well as Robby Workman's 4.12 SlackBuilds as a start to write my own. There's a reference to a series of three patches in garcon.SlackBuild. Only these patches are missing in the source directory. Code:
patch -p1 < $CWD/0013-Don-t-force-URLs-to-be-opened-in-a-web-browser-bug-1.patch Niki |
Hello kikinovak, I'm using mlpa's Xfce 4.12 http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...-a-4175508825/
and the menus are case insensitive (both default and whisker), maybe the patch was already applied. The "Fix-menu-icons-for-misconfigured-desktop-files-Bug-1" patch is in the garcon folder, just numbered 0001 instead 0017, and the other patch (don't open url...) I don't know about :D Hope this helps. |
Has this been resolved somewhere? I would really like to see these patches be placed in the slackware-current source directory for xfce.

My best guess is that I found the patches to already be applied in garcon-0.4.0 and removed them, but forget to remove the lines from the SlackBuild. If you can track down any of those patches it would be easy enough to test that theory, but I don't have any of them here.

All patches seem to be listed here and were applied to garcon last year... for garcon-0.5 they should be included.
https://github.com/xfce-mirror/garcon/commits/master P.S. garcon 0.4 was released after these patches were applied to git/master. Here are the patches with download link. They have just different names: [PATCH] Fix menu icons for misconfigured desktop files (Bug 10709) [PATCH] Add case insensitive sorting to the menu (bug #10594) [PATCH] Don't force URLs to be opened in a web browser (bug #10212) |
=)
Very well. Thanks
