Returned to Slack: ipw2200 & Compile kernel
It has been some time since I last visited Slack (9.0 I think)... and there's new hardware
aswell :-) I am going to compile the 2.6 kernel. I have installed Slack with 2.4 (bad mistake) and I also would like to "Get-Wireless" with my Intel PRO 2200 B/G NIC. What "features" do I have to enable in the kernel setup/compilation routine so that I'd have my feets dry regarding Wireless working? |
The ipw2200 README tells you all you need to know about kernel configuration.
I've also written a little howto for my laptop which includes an extensive section on ipw2200. Check it out here: http://mshade.kicks-ass.net:8080/html/s260.html --Shade |
