That's absolutely normal. You've got the RADEON driver installed, and can continue from /etc/X11 as I said earlier.

See, it was distributed as an RPM, not a tgz file. The RPM to TGZ converter doesn't take the package description with it, possibly because RPM doesn't actually have that capability, but I'm not entirely sure on that. In any event, you've got it installed, now. If you check pkgtool, you'll see fglrx_6_8_0-8.8.25-1.i386 in the list of installed packages. Run fglrxconfig to create the XF86-4 config file in /etc/X11, and copy that file over to xorg.conf and you're good to go.
