rescue usb stick??


HI
I like to know did anybody tried usb memory stick as rescue floopy disk ?I like to know because I don't have floopy disk anymore and my motherboard have usb boot option and I use lilo to dual boot with window xp and I want to try and install desktopdsd too and in case something happen with boot loader I might need a rescue disk . Will it
work if copy all the /boot file into usb memory stick and boot?

There are several Linux distros that will run on a usb stick, some made specifically for that purpose. Try downloading Damn Small Linux or Knoppix. Better yet, go to distrowatch.com and look there. They have links to every distro published on the net.
