It seem this new pango version need meson or autogen.sh, compil here with autogen.sh 

I will make a meson package, to test.

The autotools build seems to work if you use their autogen.sh, i did not test beyond building it manually though.

Yes i have tested with autogen.sh, and it build without problem, i have tested to make another package with meson it build also, but meson need python3 and ninja.

I did already have a meson SlackBuild available on SBo. Although, I did just find that they've put out 0.42.0 a couple of days ago, so I'll have to evaluate those changes to see if it should be bumped.
