As much as I'd like to see one, I imagine that Pat is waiting until the next LTS is announced. Back in August, Greg Kroah-Hartman announced that 4.9 would likely be the next LTS unless developers abused it and tried to add a bunch of stuff that shouldn't belong in an LTS. So, hopefully we'll get an announcement soon.

Ah! They finally got around to posting it!
Two of the bug fixes are labeled "Critical," and six are considered, "High."

GNU sed 4.3 has been released

According to Jim Meyering, sed's regular expression matching is now typically 10x faster.

This is also a bug fix release.

PS: no new GNU extension in this release if I read correctly. In my opinion this is a good thing.

libevdev-1.5.6

https://www.freedesktop.org/software...v-1.5.6.tar.xz

That update is need for kernel 4.9.X or newest

https://lists.freedesktop.org/archiv...ry/001380.html

changes are small , but i think are since 1.5.5 --> 1.5.6 only
