Add a version number to the package "xf86-video-nouveau-blacklist-noarch-1". When the package database /var/lib/slackpkg/pkglist is created by slackpkg "blacklist" is in the version number position. Adding a version number would correct this and make this package conform to the package naming convention of program-version-arch-build and allow this package to work correctly with slackpkg. Thanks.

The side effect of this name is to replace xf86-video-nouveau-VERSION-ARCH-BUILD package and vice versa. When 'upgradepkg' or 'slackpkg upgrade' installs one of these it removes another.

How about just naming the package: xf86-video-nouveau-blacklist-VERSION-noarch-BUILD ?

This sounds like you want to install both driver AND blacklist packages
xf86-video-nouveau-VERSION-noarch-BUILD
xf86-video-nouveau-blacklist-noarch-BUILD
at the same time.
Why?

install nvidia propietary , withour remove nouveau .... easy.
you can switch if have the two at time...for some testings.

Actually that's not what happens but it's close enough and the bottom line reason I would like the version number added to it will work properly with slackpkg, removepkg, upgradepkg and installpkg.
READ my post carefully. Emphasis added.

To make this point clearer, an example: "xf86-video-nouveau-blacklist-1.0-noarch-1"

I think the intention is to have "blacklist" be the actual version so you can easily swap between having the official xorg package installed or the version that blacklists the module.
Both of them are xf86-video-nouveau, one has a version of 1.0.16 and the other has the version of blacklist. This allows you to easily upgradepkg between the two packages. If they were intended to be installed side-by-side, I'd expect Pat would've named them differently.
