Couple of things with the new freetype-2.10.0 slackbuild. The freetype.this.is.not.a.windows.system.diff.gz patch no longer seems to be needed. I tested it and it compiles without it, looks like it was fixed with this commit https://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/fr...0aa633e2e882fb

Also enabling the patented sub-pixel rendering patch causes the build to fail. The option still exists, The patch just needs to be updated. Just FYI .

I'd rather Pat spend his time focusing on the blockers for 15.0 rather than fixing things that aren't broken.

The response has been the same since the release of 64bit Slackware: multilib is not going to be part of Slackware64.

A regularly updated mesa... I'll be still using 14.2 instead of current if it wasn't because of the grossly outdated mesa, who would make many games just not work.

And multilib is nice, I am always afraid that for any reason if alienbob stops supporting his repos, we'll all be quite screwed :P. I'll rather have steam drop 32 bits alltogether tho. This multilib support has been a complete pain and library hell for me since the very begginging. (not on the distro part, but on steam. Sometimes using local outdated libs, sometimes using my sistem's). Another thing is wine. there are some few games who would only work in 32 bits.

I can understand why is not part of the default system though. Also about KDE5.... I recently rediscovered KDE (I wasn't using it since 3.5 and 2), and I sort of dig it now. I don't know how KDE5 looks like, as every single time I tried ktown it toally screwed my system, but I am a bit sad 4 is not supported anymore. I quite like it, and hope 5 will live up to my expectations!
