universal-ctags
Can we replace the old ctags(as in vim package, not maintained now) with universal-ctags ?
https://github.com/universal-ctags/ctags https://slackbuilds.org/repository/1...iversal-ctags/ Universal Ctags improves on traditional ctags because of its multilanguage support, its ability for the user to define new languages searched by regular expressions, and its ability to generate emacs-style TAGS files. Thanks. |

LibRaw v0.20 is out : https://www.libraw.org/download
Slack current still lists v0.18 which is a bit outdated in terms of the wealth of new digital cameras and associated RAW image data that came to market over the last two years since the last upgrade of LibRaw... |
Any thoughts on micro?
https://github.com/zyedidia/micro When the source is built against xclip: https://slackbuilds.org/repository/1.../?search=xclip It has the ability to input any text from its clipboard into x's. As far as intuitive terminal text editors go I think it's even easier to use than Nano. |

I have one idea , but im not sure if its possible , probably , de slackbuild , can change 60 to 68 or wathever with using sed .. but first we need grep slack-desc version , and sed only if not the same of the actual build...or as exceptional case , make slack-desc on the fly ... its only a idea, but i think its useful to no need remember when edit the slack-desc file. |

There are already quite a lot of binary packages that depend on libselinux being present in the system. I think if the kernel setting is turned off, it's just saying "selinux not enabled". I actually made a patch to let the selinux userland build on Slackware. (https://github.com/SELinuxProject/selinux/issues/258) |
Ow, so openexr has moved to cmake instead of Autotools in openexr-2.5.2, so the SlackBuild needs more adjustment than usual.
I basically made it work with this cmake incantation replacing the ./configure incantation: Code:

There is a new version of eigen3 since a lot of time (2018).
It is needed for opencv 4.4.0. The old one of current Slackware don't work anymore with Opencv. The old one was working with Opencv 4.1.1 Many other distributions have the 3.3.7 eigen3 version. It is here : https://gitlab.com/libeigen/eigen/-/...n-3.3.7.tar.gz |
/etc/gtk-3.0/gtkrc is a remnant
/etc/gtk-3.0/gtkrc is not read by the current version of GTK 3. It uses the old syntax and is no longer needed since Adwaita is the default theme. This file can be removed.

Now that I look into the default dovecot it doesnt seem pigeonhole is included. Would that be possible?

Please don't do this.
https://mirrors.slackware.com/slackw...o.post-install The xorgproto package should be noarch, this was fixed upstream a long time ago. https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/xorg/...003426faec806e However meson "conveniently" adds the libdir field back... I suggest to use autotools, ignore the libdir field knowing it will not be used or to use sed to remove it post install until meson does this correctly. |
