removing xawtv pkgtool doesn´t see it, how else can I remove it?
 

I recently installed xawtv 3.88 using make make install, and have been trying to figure out how I uninstall it so I can install xawtvdecode pkgtool doesn´t see xawtv, does it only see packages from the cd, or packages that were installed using pgktool?

What are my other options for getting rid of xawtv so I can install the new?

sometimes make has an uninstall target, did you try make uninstall?

Yeah I tried that but it doesnt work says no rule to make target

or
make uninstall <programname>
