Removed Sound Devices

Every time I plug in a USB stick or hard drive I get the "Removed Sound Devices" message box pop up asking whether "I want to permanently forget about a device". See attached.

In which ever way I respond - "Yes", "No" "Manage Devices" It's not long before the message box reappears.

I'm assuming that my system is trying to play a tune when I plug in a USB stick but because my system is miss-configured in some way it can't. As it can't It pops up with the "Removed Sound Devices" message box instead. Is this correct.

Also I don't understand my settings in "System Settings -> Multimedia -> Phonon -> Notifications" I've attached a file of these too.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to solve these problems?

No solution, but I can confirm that I get this type of message quite frequently. I think it mainly happens when the browser (nearly always Firefox in my case) captures the audio device for its purposes (playing back video or whatever). Then when system notification wants the audio device, as you say, an error is raised. The browser should presumably have given up the audio device.

I too have seen this many times. It would be good to find a solution...
