Remove mounts from desktop gnome

Hi folks,

I alway's used KDE but wanted to give gnome a try. It's working great exept one really annoying thing. When i have a mount (fat32) i will display this on my desktop? I dont want that!

Does anybody know how to remove this annoying feature? You would help me a lot!

Thanks

Edit: I use slackware 10

You might be able to set it using gconf. Unfortunately I stuck using GNOME 1.4 right now so I can't give you exact details.

in 2.6 go to gconf editor then under apps/nautilus/preferences you can unselect show desktop

this will however disable putting all icons on the desktop ... as to just keeping the cdrom and floppy from coming up im not sure
