Removal of Mozilla- why?

Hi!

Can someone explain to me what was the reason of removel of Mozilla from Slackware?

Actually, I have to confess, that i use only Mozilla browser from the whole suite, but i personally like it because of very easy profile management what is not the case of FireFox (i tried FF1 some time ago and, for the sake of saving mental health during adjusting it to my needs, removed it).

But now it seems that "You will have to love it through tears!"

Well when I installed 10.1 it was there and I removed it for Firefox. I am pretty sure it's there. If not download it off the cd or use swaret to install it if you still like/use it!

BerzinTehvs,
I am kinda with you - I do prefer Mozilla - but like most things, its personal preference.

But with the source and checkinstall - I'm guessing all will be OK in the long run.
(Still using 1.7.5)

I don't know the answer to that question, but some clues as to why Mozilla has been removed may be found here and here .

It appears the Mozilla suite is about to be dropped in favor of Firefox and Thunderbird by the Mozilla foundation all together.

Me too prefer mozilla over firefox but unlike everybody else I didn't use package that came with slack but I love to compile the source taken from CVS.

Now I don't have two of mozillas + netscape but only one ( built by me ) and ff.

So, if anyone out there would like full mozilla suite you can compile it yourself or grab it from mozilla.org..

well, i like to use the mozilla webpage composer...that's kinda annoying. I suppose i could switch to nuv or something which is supposed to be a composer.
