Regarding Slax

. How to insert own (or downloaded) modules into slax

Just copy your modules to /modules directory on the CD somehow. You can either use some software to insert your files to ISO image (win ISO, ISO commander, etc.), or there is a script called modinsert in Linux Live scripts.
Does it simply means I can extract out the main iso file, download and copy the new modules to the /modules directory then burn whole slax as data cd?

I dont think so. U have to use iso editing softwares like magic iso(for windows) to add modules. Or u could load modules from floppy after booting into slax. Or download modules from website while running slax and insert modules.

You can't extract it using WinRAR or something simalar. You can use special programs to deal with Iso's and put the module in the Module folder. The way you say it, I don't think it will boot.

For Slax, you should use the forums here. They are really helpful and more people know about it there.

Well, first of all, here is quote from Distrowatch:
"SLAX - Live CD is a bootable CD containing a Linux operating system. It runs directly from CD-ROM without installing. The live CD described here is based on the Slackware Linux distribution and is downloadable from its website as an ISO image. All scripts and source code which can be used to build your own live CD are also available.
