Reference book for Slackware 10.2
I'm sorry if this is a dumb question, but I was wondering if anyone here can recommend a good reference book for a new Slackware 10.2 user. I'm not looking for basic information (how to launch Konqueror, eg. I've used other distros), but things like how to add an external hd, mount new usb drive, common commands I should know, how to upgrade just the kernel, etc....More intermediate to advanced info that a user is likely to need over time specific to Slackware, and especially the 10.2 version. (I understand that there are significant differences in 11 like udev vs pnp.)

I don't want to keep imposing on this very generous group for info if there's documentation that I can get. I've looked over Amazon, but the books I've seen there seem either too basic or non-Slackware specific.

You can try Slackware basics (.PDF) and Slackbook (.PDF).

Happy Slackin'!

Hi adriv,

I downloaded that books you so kindly provided links to. I also just went to the Slackware site and purchased "Slackware Essentials, 2nd Ed."

Thank you,
