recent current updates, nscd.conf empty?

I diff orig to new files when there's changes so I can see what's different, /etc/nscd.conf is now empty, is that right, no mention in changelog.txt.

For what it's worth, mine contains the following:

if you are using multilib check the latest version changelog.

glorsplitz 12-19-2015 08:22 AM

Thanks ponce but not using multilib, slackware64 current, I'm going to leave original.

I just checked the x86_64 package, glibc-2.22-x86_64-2.txz, and the etc/nscd.conf.new file is empty.

Code:

jbhansen@craven-moorhead:~/tmp/etc$ ls -la
total 16
drwxr-xr-x 3 jbhansen users 4096 Dec 17 20:07 ./
drwxr-xr-x 8 jbhansen users 4096 Dec 17 20:07 ../
-rw-r--r-- 1 jbhansen users    0 Dec 17 20:05 nscd.conf.new
drwxr-xr-x 2 jbhansen users 4096 Dec 17 20:07 profile.d/
-rw-r--r-- 1 jbhansen users 1634 Dec 17 20:00 rpc

Same with the i586 version, glibc-2.22-i586-2.txz

Code:

jbhansen@craven-moorhead:~/tmp$ ls -la etc
total 16
drwxr-xr-x 3 jbhansen users 4096 Dec 17 20:57 ./
drwxr-xr-x 8 jbhansen users 4096 Dec 17 20:57 ../
-rw-r--r-- 1 jbhansen users    0 Dec 17 20:55 nscd.conf.new
drwxr-xr-x 2 jbhansen users 4096 Dec 17 20:57 profile.d/
-rw-r--r-- 1 jbhansen users 1634 Dec 17 20:50 rpc

That looks strange as in current's glibc.SlackBuild I see:
Code:

cat nscd/nscd.conf > $PKG/etc/nscd.conf.new
and in the source tarball:
Code:

/tmp/baf/glibc-2.22$ ls -l nscd/nscd.conf
-rw-r--r-- 1 didier users 2387 août  5 08:42 nscd/nscd.conf
/tmp/baf/glibc-2.22$

The fix is coming. I was just a bit too fast in releasing the multilib glibc rebuild... I thought Pat had already released the rebuilt glibc for slackware-current.

Thanks Eric.
