rawrite error

I am trying switch to slackware (8.1), never worked with linux before. When I try and RAWRITE the boot disk, I get the following error:

Attempt to DMA across 64k boundary

I'm running the program in dos emulation in 2000 professional. Does anyone know what the problem is?
